| Biography of interviewed (Biographie de l’interviewé) | Hans-Heikki is arrested for having participated in a protest meeting against a commemorative monument to the Red Army. Transferred from prison to prison, he is transported in 1941 to the labor camp to Soukhovobezvodnoe, near the city of Gorky. After carrying out a series of manual works, he works as doctor – assistant in the camp. That makes his life conditions easier. On his release and return to Estonia, he tries in vain to enter the University and ultimately starts his studies at a school of medicine. In the 1990s, he creates, with a Danish colleague, a support center for victims of torture, mainly ex-prisoners of the soviet period. |
| Biography of interviewed in French (Biographie de l’interviewé en français) | Hans-Heikki est arrêté pour avoir participé à une manifestation de protestation contre un monument à l'Armée rouge. Transféré de prison en prison, est transporté en 1941 au camp de travail à Soukhovobezvodnoe, près de la ville de Gorkij. Après avoir effectué une série de travaux manuels, il trouve une place d'aide-médecin au sein du camp. A sa libération et à son retour en Estonie, il cherche en vain à entrer à l'Université et intègre finalement l'école de médecine. Dans les années 1990, il fonde de concert avec un collègue Danois un centre d'aide aux victimes de tortures. |
